I can honestly say, I was overwhelmed by the support I received from my guests who attended the book launch event for Tempus Cross on Thursday 27th November, at the Porcelain Pig Bar & Studio in Twyford. The array of audience questions were brilliant, not too many tricky 'curve-balls' to fend off, but clearly anyone who asked me something, either about the book or the writing process, had a genuine interest in how this all came together.
I must admit, Tempus Cross is a subject I have no hangups talking about (I could have rambled on all night), therefore it was both a joy and a pleasure to be able to share my writing journey with so many people.
The Porcelain Pig team, led by proprietor, Jo Blythe, were outstanding; they'd set the venue up really well to enable guests to mingle before we all sat down to discuss the book itself. The format we decided upon was for my lovely wife, Laura, to interview me, using questions for which I had no idea were coming. We had a few laughs reminiscing over the many hours I spent 'ignoring' my family when I had my head buried in the writing process until Tempus Cross was finally ready to submit to Austin Macauley for the next part of the journey.
The book launch evening was terrific - within a couple of days I had received lots of lovely messages from people who'd attended to say how much they'd enjoyed it.
As a bonus, I sold all 25 copies of the book I had with me, signing all of them with individual messages.
Thank you to everyone who came along to make it a very special evening.
